In the midst of the Great War, Canada finds itself in the middle of a crisis that threatens to tear it apart. Conscription especially divides the French and English speakers of the country, all while families and communities try to grapple with the wretched horrors that are being reported from across the seas. Fighting Words is the story of how one community might have navigated the rough terrain of the conscription crisis of 1917.
